AN EFFICIENT PUMPED STORAGE POWER PLANT RUN BY HYBRID SOLAR-WIND RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES

ABSTRACT


           In this paper, an innovative technique of an efficient Pumped Storage Power Plant run by Hybrid Solar-Wind Renewable Energy Resources is being discussed. The Solar-Wind output power is stored in a battery. The battery power is inverted into AC and it is fed to a peripheral type single-phase water pump through a starter. The water is stored in a storage tank from the well by the water pump. By hydro-electric power generation, the electricity is produced by an alternator. I am going to implement a new technique in old car alternator. The rotor field coil is removed, and the permanent magnet is attached in its rotor shaft. This alternator gives ten times more voltage than the normal car alternator. The waste water from turbine is again fed back to the well.
